This is the first Monk Artifact Armor quest - otherwise known as AF1.

Walkthrough
* After talking to Oggbi, obtain a Pickaxe. (You can buy one from Numa (E-7) in Port Bastok for about 190 gil.)
* Then, head to Gusgen Mines and look for a ??? around G-7.
* To get to the ??? in Gusgen Mines, go straight across the first map and down the stairs. Use the left hand door to enter the second map.
* Go to the room in the northwest corner and follow the corridor that runs west from this room. This will take you down to a new map. Go to the second room.
* The ??? is located on the left side of the room toward the back. There is another ??? on the left side at the back of a shed (this is not the one you want).
* Use a pickaxe there and it will trigger the Wandering Ghost to spawn.
* Kill it and it will drop the Miner's Pendant. Bring it back to Oggbi for your reward.
The First Meeting

This is the second Monk Artifact Armor quest - otherwise known as AF2.

Repeatable: Yes, see Vingijard after AF is complete.

Walkthrough
* Talk to Oggbi in Port Bastok inside the Steaming Sheep Restaurant located at (E-6). He will ask you to accompany Dalzakk to Fei'Yin.
o Once the quest shows up in your quest log, you may feel free to change jobs to continue the quest with another job (preferably a higher leveled job).
* Zone into Qu'Bia Arena and upon exiting back into Fei'Yin you will trigger a cutscene and receive Letter from Dalzakk (key item).
* After that, head to Davoi and look for a 'Hide Flap' on one of the tents at (F-7).
o Clear the area of any Orcs wandering around the area as they will link to the NMs once they are spawned, this can spell disaster, even for a job at level 75.
* This triggers two NM Orcs to spawn: Bilopdop (MNK) and Deloknok (PLD).
o Bilopdop is immune to Sleep, even with Elemental Seal. Deloknok is sleepable.

* Kill them and investigate the 'Hide Flap' on the tent again to receive the San d'Orian Martial Arts Scroll (Key Item).
Note: The 'Hide Flap' may have moved to another tent while you attack the NMs but will have re-popped within the same area. If this happens just examine the flap on the new tent to receive the key item. The second 'Hide Flap' spawns when you POP the two NMs, not when you KILL them, so if you have someone along who can take hate after the NMs are popped, it is not necessary to kill them. The NM fight can be soloed at any level. Simply spawn the NMs with reraise on then die and wait for them to despawn, reraise then check the flaps without zoning.
* Return to Oggbi to obtain the Temple Gaiters.
o NOTE: You must zone after obtaining your artifact weapon (Beat Cesti) to flag this quest.
True Strength

Requirements: Monk 50+
Items Needed: Yagudo Drink
Title: Paragon of Monk Excellence
Repeatable: Yes, see Vingijard after AF is complete.
Reward: Temple Hose

Next Quest: None
Walkthrough
* Talk to Ayame in Metalworks.
* She asks you to defeat a powerful Yagudo, Huu Xalmo the Savage, in Castle Oztroja and recover the Xalmo Feather as proof.
o Note: Once you have talked to Ayame, the quest will show up in your quest log, at this point you may switch to another job to complete the quest. You do not have to fight Huu Xalmo the Savage as a MNK.
* You will need to trade a Yagudo Drink to a ??? on map 4 H-8 of Castle Oztroja to spawn Huu Xalmo the Savage.
* Return to Ayame and trade the Xalmo Feather to receive the Temple Hose.
Borghertz's Striking Hands

Requirements: Monk 50+, Must have started The First Meeting quest
Items Needed: Nest Coffer Key, Beadeaux Coffer Key, Garlaige Coffer Key

Reward: Temple Gloves, Temple Crown, Temple Cyclas

Walkthrough
* Speak to Guslam at H-8 in Upper Jeuno in the Durable Shields shop and accept the quest.
The Hands
* You'll need to head to Crawlers' Nest and open a coffer there, so either:
* Obtain a Nest Coffer Key or come as a thief and bring along tools to pick the lock.
* Open a coffer in Crawlers' Nest and obtain the Old Gauntlets (key item).
* If you are reacquiring AF or getting AF for another job, skip this portion and proceed to the next step. If this is your first job, do the following:
* Head back to Upper Jeuno and talk to Guslam again, who will tell you he lacks the skill to repair them.
* Deadly Minnow, behind the counter in the same shop as Guslam, will tell you to find a Mithra at the Tenshodo for more information.
* Go to Lower Jeuno and go into the Tenshodo to talk to Yin Pocanakhu at J-8. Pay her 1,000 gil to hear her story.
* Head to Port Jeuno, go downstairs into the Auction House area, and find a ??? on some crates outside the Jeuno Duty-Free Shop (H-8).
* Click on the ??? for a cutscene and ask to have the gloves repaired.
* Go to F-8 in Castle Zvahl Baileys and touch one of the torches to spawn Dark Spark.
* Kill Dark Spark.
* Touch the torch again (make sure you touch the same torch you used to spawn him) to receive the Shadow Flames (key item).
* If other players in the party also need this key item, they can touch the torch as well - you don't have to fight him for each person.
* Head back to Port Jeuno and click on the ??? at the toolbox for a cutscene. This completes the quest.
The Rest
* Guslam mentions something about armor scattered about Vana'diel. You can find two more pieces of armor by simply opening coffers in the following zones:
* Garlaige Citadel: Temple Crown
* Beadeaux: Temple Cyclas
Notes
* You must have MNK as your main job when you open these coffers.
* You need to have started The First Meeting (AF2) to get this quest.
* If you have any other Borghertz's Hands quest active you will need to complete that one before you can get this quest.
* After starting the quest, you can obtain the rewards in any order.
* The quest is marked complete upon obtaining the gloves.
(Note:increases evasion bonus by dodge by 10
the enhanced effect persists even if Temple Gaiters are removed)
(Note: increases boosts inherent attack bonus by 5.5%: increases boosts inherent chi blast damage bonus by 5.5%)
(Note: increases accuracy bonus during focus by 10. effect persists even if Temple Crown is removed)
(Note: raises Chakra vit modifier from 2x to 3x, allows chakra to remove paralysis)
