* Speak with Ryoma in Norg at H-8 in a small corner at the dock overlooking the water, for a cutscene and then head to Port Bastok.
* Kagetora in Warehouse #2, just across from the Airship dock, will send you off to find Ensetsu, located at (I-5) in the first house east of the warehouse.
* Ensetsu provides additional background and sends you to Eastern Altepa Desert to investigate.
* Head to the border of H-5/H-6 in Eastern Altepa Desert, clear the area, and click the ??? when your party is set.
* Two NM spiders named Tsuchigumo will spawn. The spiders are immune to sleep.
* After you kill the Tsuchigumo; re-examine the ??? and you will receive a Key Item called a Trick Box.
* Return to Norg and speak with Ryoma to complete the quest.

I'll Take the Big Box
From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia
This is the second Ninja Artifact Armor quest - otherwise known as AF2.

Start NPC: Ryoma - Norg (H-8)
Requirements: Ninja 50+
Items Needed: Oak Pole
Title: None
Repeatable:Yes, see Vingijard after AF is complete.
Reward: Ninja Hakama

Previous Quest: 20 in Pirate Years
Next Quest: True Will and Borghertz's Lurking Hands

Walkthrough
* Speak with Ryoma (H-8) in Norg who will give you the quest and tell you to track down Ensetsu (I-5) in Port Bastok.
* NOTE: You must zone after completing the quest 20 in Pirate Years for Ryoma to give you the quest.
* Ensetsu will tell of a new player in the story, Leodarion (F-8), who resides in Rabao.
* Obtain an Oak Pole and then head to Rabao.
* Leodarion will ask you for the Oak Pole. Trade it to him and then you must wait until the next Vana'diel day before you may speak to him again. He will then give you the Seance Staff (key item) and tell you to head to Mhaura.
* NOTE: Leodarion will not accept an Oak Pole +1.
* Head to Mhaura and catch the ferry to Selbina around midnight.
* Once you have departed, head onto the deck and a ghost named Enagakure will be spawned.
* Defeat Enagakure and Leodarion will meet you when the ship docks for a cutscene completing the quest.

Special Notes
* Enagakure will only spawn from 20:00 to 4:00; like most Ghost type monsters.
o Take the ferry that departs for Selbina between 15:30-16:30
o CAUTION: The Notorious Monster Sea Horror occasionally appears on the ferry; see if it has spawned and avoid aggro.
* Enagakure can be killed by most jobs solo at level sixty-three and up.
* You DO NOT need to be Ninja for the NM to spawn; however, you must possess the key item Seance Staff
* If your inventory was full you need to go back to Mhaura and kill Enagakure again. Then watch the cutscene again to finish the quest.

True Will
From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia
This is the third Ninja Artifact Armor quest - otherwise known as AF3.

Start NPC: Ryoma - Norg (H-8)
Requirements: Ninja 50+
Items Needed: Kuftal Coffer Key
Title: Paragon of Ninja Excellence
Repeatable: Yes, see Vingijard after AF is complete.
Reward: Ninja Chainmail

Previous Quest: I'll Take the Big Box
Next Quest: None

Walkthrough
* Ryoma in Norg sends you to Yhoator Jungle.
* Examine the ??? at (I-7) to spawn 3 NM Sahagin:
* Kappa Akuso (Monk) Uses Hundred Fists.
* Kappa Biwa (Bard) Uses Soul Voice.
* Kappa Bonze (White Mage) Uses Benediction.
* Note: Kappa Bonze may be slept with Lullaby, Sleep or Repose. Akuso and Biwa appear to be immune to the effect.
* Note: Only one Kappa needs to be defeated. Has true-hearing and seems to aggro magic. Recommended strategy is to spawn and run to Den of Rancor. Let the other two Kappas move back to the ???, and fight the one Kappa at the zone.
* Note: When using the strategy to just kill one NM you must first wait for the other two NMs to depop before killing the NM you have pulled or else you will not receive the key item from the ??? spawn point.
o When using this strategy, it is highly recommended that you do not choose Kappa Akuso as the one that you fight.
o If you do choose to fight Kappa Akuso, fight near the Ifrit's Cauldron zone. Zone immediately after he uses Hundred Fists and wait 20 seconds. Zone back into Yhoator Jungle and fight him again. This time he will not use Hundred Fists. Kappa Akuso is soloable by a 60 NIN/DNC using this method.
o When using this strategy, this fight is known soloable by most jobs at 75 given a solo-friendly job/subjob.
o When using this strategy, this fight is soloable near level 60 by jobs more adept at soloing.
* Also soloable, yet very risky at 75 by "super-tanking" all three sahagin using a high evasion job, and a high-evasion gear set up. This strategy is rather risky, and not recommended to even be attempted unless you have shadows and healing availble fom your job/subjob combo.
* Easily soloable by a RDM/BLU supertanking all three sahagin without using shadows or evading any attacks, standart buffs (Protect IV, Stoneskin, Phalanx, Cocoon, Ice Spikes, Barblizzard, Barparalyze and a Tavnazian Taco) take care of pretty much all the damage, just beware of Magic Finale spam and Soul Voice Minuet.
* Take caution if Woodland Sage pops, it does aggro level 75's.
* Kill them and examine ??? again to get an Old Trick Box (key item).
* Take it back to Ryoma who then sends you to Rabao to talk with Leodarion.
* Leodarion sends you to Kuftal Tunnel.
* Obtain a Kuftal Coffer Key and open a Treasure Coffer to receive a Large Trick Box (key item). (Note: this can be done as any job; the Large Trick Box can be attained by picking the lock as THF.)
* Bring it back to Leodarion to complete the quest.

Borghertz's Lurking Hands
From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia

Start NPC: Guslam - Upper Jeuno (H-8)
Requirements: Ninja 50+, Must have started I'll Take the Big Box quest
Items Needed: Cauldron Coffer Key, Boyahda Coffer Key, Grotto Coffer Key
Title: None
Repeatable: Yes, see Vingijard after AF is complete.
Reward: Ninja Tekko, Ninja Kyahan, Ninja Hatsuburi

Previous Quest: 20 in Pirate Years
Next Quest: None

Walkthrough
* Speak to Guslam (H-8) in Upper Jeuno in the Durable Shields shop and accept the quest.

The Hands
* You'll need to head to Ifrit's Cauldron and open a coffer there, so either:
* Obtain a Cauldron Coffer Key; or come as a thief and bring along tools to pick the lock.
* Open a coffer in Ifrit's Cauldron and obtain the Old Gauntlets (key item).
* If you are reacquiring AF or getting AF for another job, skip this portion and proceed to the next step. If this is your first job, do the following:
* Head back to Upper Jeuno and talk to Guslam again, who will tell you he lacks the skill to repair them.
* Deadly Minnow, behind the counter in the same shop as Guslam, will tell you to find a Mithra at the Tenshodo for more information.
* Go to Lower Jeuno and go into the Tenshodo to talk to Yin Pocanakhu at (J-8). Pay her 1,000 gil to hear her story.
* Head to Port Jeuno, go downstairs into the Auction House area, and find a ??? on some crates just outside the Jeuno Duty-Free Shop (H-8).
* Click on the ??? for a cutscene and ask to have the gloves repaired.
* Go to (F-8) in Castle Zvahl Baileys and touch one of the torches to spawn Dark Spark.
* Kill Dark Spark.
* Touch the same torch again to receive the Shadow Flames (key item).
* If other players in the party also need this key item, they can touch the same torch as well; you will not need to fight Dark Spark for each party member who needs the Shadow Flames.
* Head back to Port Jeuno and click on the ??? at the toolbox for another cutscene. This completes the quest.

The Rest
* Guslam mentions something about armor scattered about Vana'diel. You can find two more pieces of armor by simply opening coffers in the following zones:
* Sea Serpent Grotto: Ninja Kyahan
* The Boyahda Tree: Ninja Hatsuburi
* You must have Ninja as your main job when you open these coffers.

Notes
* You must have started I'll Take the Big Box (AF2) before you can start this quest.
* If you have any other Borghertz's Hands quest active you will need to complete that one before you can start this quest.
* After starting the quest, you can obtain the rewards in any order.
* The quest is marked complete upon obtaining the Ninja Tekko.

(Note: combined delay of both weapons reduced by an additional 5%)
